Last Friday, around 12 in the afternoon, Manila City officials turned food vendors away from Agno. Complaints of “business competition” were made by the restaurants in EGI, as well as the EGI restaurants’ claims that some of the food stalls did not have business permits. A member of a message forum says that the food stalls were back at Agno as of Saturday morning.
Do you think that the complaint lodged by the EGI restaurants is valid?
Should the food stalls be evicted from Agno?

they could ask na lang for permits for the said areas.. medyo valid ren that they do not have permits nga.. EGI just used thid loophole for their personal gain pero just the same dapat may gawin na ang mga vendors sa agno para di na sila "masilipan" at macomplain. In the first place, EGI could not use the competition arguments because it is their burden to devise ways to attract more customers. whether it be lower prices, quality food and etc.

From a marketing standpoint, I don't see why EGI should seek the eviction of the Agno food stalls. I eat at Agno if I feel like saving money, pero I eat at EGI if I want airconditioning while I'm eating. There are also people who always eat at EGI and who will never eat at Agno because they're iffy with Agno's hepa lane reputation. But, times are harder and people are feeling the crunch now more than ever; this is probably why the restaurants of EGI signed the petition to raid Agno.
